Crazy Crazy Times

Okay, as most of you know, Chase got laid off the week of Thanksgiving. He's been looking for a new job ever since. He had an interview a few weeks ago, but never heard anything from them. He has another interview tomorrow (12/30), so keep your fingers crossed and pray.
As far as the holidays went, everything thing went pretty well. Thanksgiving was easy, all we had to do was show up. We took the Wii with us and everybody bowled (and got our butts kicked by Chase's mom). Christmas was fun. I went into the girls room on Christmas morning to wake them up. Koda was already awake, laying in her bed, and McKenna was still asleep. Koda jumped up when I told her it was time to get up and I asked her "do you know who came last night?" she said "no" and I told her Santa had come, to which she responded with an excited gasp. So we got them up and got their diapers changed, then took them into the living room. Koda was really excited when she saw all the presents, but Kenna wasn't sure what was going on. We opened all the gifts and I made the girls pancakes to hold them over until we got to Chase's mom's. After they ate, we got them ready to go and finished loading up the car (including the Wii, again).
We got there and ate some breakfast and than started opening gifts. The girls got LOTS of toys that make noise. Koda got a pink police motorcycle, a piano, and a toy guitar. Kenna got lots of animal related things that make all kinds of noise. Chase and I both got a couple new Wii games. The girls also got these AWESOME blankets that are so unbelievably soft. I can't even describe them. Koda's is farm themed, and Kenna's has teddy bears on it.
All things considered, it was a good holiday season. I'm not looking forward to this coming weekend though. I've got to take down the Christmas tree and village, package it up, and put it all away...thrilling:P
Anyway, I'll try to add a few pictures of the girls birthday when I get a chance. As far as Christmas, well, they're not so much as Christmas, but I do have some pictures of the girls sitting in front of the tree. So I'll try to get those up.

Quick update

It's hard to believe but Koda's birthday is only 3 days away. She's getting to be so big. And her new favorite word's are "no" and "don't". She actually told me the other day, clear as day "don't tell Kenna no!" Let me explain, I was feeding McKenna and she kept putting her hands in her mouth everytime I put food in it, so I kept telling her no. McKenna's getting be big also, she's crusing around the furnature and starting to push off the floor with one foot when she crawls, so we're expecting her to start walking any day now.
I took the girls to the doctor on Monday (11/10) and found out that McKenna had an ear infection, so she's been taking antibiotics. The doctor said that Koda had a cold and asked what I'd been giving her. I told her I'd been giving both of them Robituson. She asked how they did at taking it and I told her that they love it. She looked at me like I was crazy and then proclaimed her distaste for the flavor, saying that it's the nastiest thing she's tasted.
Okay, so the last time I posted, I was just getting ready to start a new job, I've started and everything's going pretty well. I'd be better if everybody else in the office would leave the paperwork on my desk alone, but you can't get everything.
Oh, and I didn't get the chance to post these the last time I was here, so here's the girls 6 & 18 month pictures...hopefully, if finances allow, I'll have their 1 & 2 year pictures next month, plus birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas for both.

Haven't updated in a while.

GIRLS
Let me start off by giving an update on the girls. Koda is very quickly approching the terrible two's and she's really starting to show it. She's into everything and is getting quite a bit of an attitude. All in all, she's not too bad, but when she misbehaves, she goes all out.
McKenna thinks she's that she is soooo cool because she can get to a sitting position all by herself. She gets so excited when she does. She's really starting to become her own little person now. She has several toys that play music and she LOVES to dance to them.

ME
So I was working at Fidelity Bank in Wichita, but I'm getting ready to start a new job at Keystone in Benton. That's actually where Chase is working and they need somebody to answer the phones and do all the scheduling, so I decided I was going to leave Fidelity to do it.
Unfortunetly, it wasn't really that hard to leave because there seemed to be something going on between the manager and a teller that shouldn't have been...especially since he's married, but that's beside the point.

4th of July

This was Koda's second 4th and McKenna's first. Last year, Koda slept through everything so this was the first year she actually got to participate, well, as much as a 20 month old can participate. McKenna, however, slept through everything. She was so tired from swimming most of the afternoon.

Koda thought the fire works were really cool, but there were so many going on around us in the neighborhood, that she didn't know where to look.

She did try to pick up a lit smoke bomb though. She grabbed it and I think she got more scared than actually hurt because Quinn and I both yelled NO really loud and Chase grabbed her hand to get it away from her before she got hurt so she started crying. I hoped up, grabbed her and took her in the house to run her hand under cold water.
Chase's mom put some aloe on her hand, but we couldn't tell if it was burned 'cause it was blue from the smoke bomb.
Quinn took her swimming later and the blue wore off so we could actually see her hand. It was a little red, but it was gone by the the end of the night.

Other than that, there wasn't a lot going on. We're excited for next year when both Koda and McKenna can participate more than they did this year.
